If you can't already tell by my many spooktacular tutorials and festive posts, I love Halloween. To me, it's the best time of year! We can all indulge in our "darker" sides while enjoying the cool, crisp air and pumpkin pie milkshakes. Yum!
To add to my growing collection of Halloween posts, I'd like to share with you a few budget-friendly ways that I've decorated my kitchen and entryway this year.
In the photo at the top of this post, you'll see the items that sit atop a shelf in my entryway.
The total cost of all of the items on the shelf:
Picture Frame: $5
Dragon Castle: Free (It was a gift.)
Spider Tombstone: $1
Witch Hat: $1
Skeleton Head: $1
The lamp is an old lamp I had lying around--I plan on moving it or changing out the lampshade, just to add to the Halloween effect. Zebra stripes? Not scary.
Here are a few of the decorations on my kitchen counter.
There is a wooden sign that reads, "Cauldron Cakes, Putrid Pudding, Apple Spider, Ice Scream." On the right, there is a black wax warmer, and to the left is a kitchen towel with spiders and spiderwebs.
The wax warmer is my favorite, and only cost $3 at Dollar General. I also purchased a $1 pack of "Spice" wax melts.
The spider kitchen towel was $1 at Dollar Tree, along with the matching oven mit:
They're perfect for Halloween, but not so scary that they frighten the children.
Finally, you'll see my "Trick or Treat" sign and a pumpkin pie candle. They were purchased at Walmart and Dollar General, respectively. The sign was $3 and the candle was $1.
In total, I've spent $19 on decorating my kitchen for Halloween.
And that's not scary at all.
Where did you get the sign please! Love it!
