Fight the Dry, Winter Air with the Mini Filter-Free #VicksCoolMist Humidifier: Review

Winter air is stagnant. It's stale. It's dry. It's cold.

It can wreak havoc on your skin. It can cause your nasal passages to burn. It makes your throat hurt in the morning.

To be frank, winter air sucks.

Thankfully, we can add moisture to our homes with humidifiers.

In our home, we prefer cool mist humidifiers over the warm mist humidifiers. Cool mist is more practical for our household, especially considering that we have two children and a dog. We certainly don't want to risk a burn injury! Not to mention, cool mist humidifiers are generally less expensive, as they do not contain heating elements.

Recently, I received a Vicks Mini FilterFree CoolMist Humidifier for free from Influenster. And right on time, too! The air in our home has become unbelievably dry, especially in my daughter's room which is smack dab in the middle of our home, and therefore, receives little air circulation.

What I love most about the Vicks Mini FilterFree CoolMist Humidifier is that it is super quiet! My daughter is a light sleeper, so this is a huge plus!

It produces mist with ultrasonic vibration, which allows it to be quiet as it creates water vapors to moisturize the air.

The humidifier takes up very little space, so it fits easily on top of a dresser, a desk, or a shelf.

My daughter seems to sleep better with the #VicksCoolMist humidifier in her room. I'm not sure if it's the blue light, the very subtle sound that it produces, or the moisture content making it more comfortable for her. Perhaps it's a combination of the three. No matter what it is, I am highly satisfied with this product.

It's easy to take apart, so it's super easy to clean.

It has adjustable settings.

And, well, it's aesthetically pleasing, too.

If you're interested in purchasing a #VicksCoolMist humidifier, here's what you can expect.

  • Sample Vicks VapoPad for a soothing menthol scent
  • No filters to replace
  • Quiet operation
  • Easy to clean
  • Variable humidity control
  • Soft glow nightlight
  • Rubber feet
  • Small

Definitely recommended. I'm incredibly happy with mine!
