A pair of jeans can be a woman's best friend, or her worst nightmare. A pair of jeans can make a woman feel comfortable, or they can make her feel insecure. A pair of jeans can make or break an outfit. As women, the struggle to find a pair of proper-fitting, comfortable jeans is something we are all too familiar with.
It is so important to have at least two pairs of jeans that fit just right, hug you in all of the right places, and make you feel comfortable and attractive.
Lee Jeans was kind enough to work with me on a review of two pairs of their jeans right here on Freelance Lady. Below, you'll find out more information about these two pairs, including fit, fabric, comfort, and my overall opinion of both.
Platinum Label Slender Secret Briana Straight Leg Jean
The Platinum Label Slender Secret Briana Straight Leg Jeans were the first pair that I was able to try.
Fit
The fit of the Platinum Label jeans is perfect for my body type. They're a slim fit and rise just below the waist, for tummy control, without being too tight.
Around the hips, they hugged my legs, while still remaining comfortable. The legs were straight, with about a 19-inch circumference at the bottom. The boot-cut look is barely there, which I found to flatter my rather large calves and elongated my short legs.
Fabric & Materials
Made with stretch crosshatch denim, these jeans have just the right amount of stretch, without too much cling. They're made up of 64% cotton, 16% rayon, 19% poly, and 1% spandex. There is one color option, "Nile," which is a dark denim.
In the upper thigh area, the jeans have a lighter color, which creates the illusion of thinner thighs.
While most people don't see the inner pocket lining, I always take a close look at it, just because I'm into detail. The pocket lining was made of a soft fabric, which prevented it from scratching up against my thighs as I moved.
Embellishments/Stitching Design
The back pockets of the jeans feature a beautiful design, complete with small silver studs.
I personally adored these back pocket details. Because they draw attention in all of the right places, I felt that it gave my behind, or lack thereof, a little boost.
The jeans are secured with a button and a zip-fly closure.
The button, (as well as the corners of the front pockets) was silver with four diamond shapes. I feel that the button design is chic and adds to the overall appearance.
The inner corners of the pockets featured rhinestones, which gave the jeans a little "bling."
The stitching was neat, and seems to hold up rather nicely.
My Overall Opinion
I love the Platinum Label Slender Secret Briana Straight Leg Jeans!
They really help to minimize my problem areas, including my stomach and thighs. My short legs were elongated and my behind was given a boost, which I appreciate.
To me, the jeans are chic and help me maintain a smooth, curvy figure. I feel that these jeans would be best paired with a simple top, so that it doesn't take away from the jean's fun embellishments

Easy Fit Emma Barely Bootcut
The second pair that I tried were the Easy Fit Emma Barely Bootcut.
Fit
The fit of the Easy Fit Emma Barely Bootcut helped to elongate my legs. They're a regular fit jean with a rise similar to the Platinum Label pair. These had a little more stretch to them, but like the Platinum Label jeans, didn't cling too tightly.
There is a little more slack around the hips with these, but around the waist, they hold me in perfectly and aren't too tight. No muffin top, and they're incredibly comfortable. I honestly didn't even feel like I was wearing jeans.
These are "barely bootcut" which means a subtle bootcut design with about an 18.5" circumference. I appreciated this fit a bit more than the straight leg, and felt that it elongated my legs more than the Platinum Label.
What I liked most about these was the barely-there bootcut look, that was subtle, yet enough to elongate my legs and allow me to wear a nice pair of boots underneath.
Fabric & Materials
The Easy Fit jeans are made of stretch denim (66% cotton, 32% poly, and 2% spandex). As mentioned earlier, they have a bit more stretch than the Platinum Label.
The jeans come in two colors: Caribbean (which is what I received) and Twilight (which is a black color). I've always loved that dark denim thins me out.
Embellishments/Stitching Design
The Easy Fit jeans feature a detailed stitching pattern on the back pockets.
While I didn't feel that the Easy Fit jeans made my booty "pop" as much as the Platinum Label jeans, they didn't really flatten me out either. It's just a very simple, casual look, without drawing too much attention to the rear end. I feel that this design would be ideal for those looking to tone down the size of their behind (whereas I'm looking for a boost).
The Easy Fit Emma Barely Bootcut features a sleek tag on the back, with an original design. Did I mention that I love attention to detail?
My Overall Opinion
Personally, I like the simplicity of the Easy Fit Emma Barely Bootcut jeans. They're more my style. The one thing that I didn't particularly care for, though, was the pattern on the back of the jeans. I'm looking for a bit more of a boost in that department, and felt that these jeans down-played my "junk in the trunk," which is exactly what I don't need.
However, for those of you who are looking for something to take the focus off of your back-end, while also slimming you everywhere else, these could be the one!

I must say, after having tried out both the Platinum Label and Easy Fit jeans, I'm quite impressed. I knew all along that Lee Jeans created quality, stylish jeans, but it had been awhile since I had the chance to try them. Their new cuts are perfect for slimming a plus-size girl like myself.
I'd like to give a BIG shout out to Lee Jeans! If you'd like, please take the time to connect with them.
This was interesting. Yikes! I actually like both styles. I think ideally I need to go try some Lee jeans on and see which work ideally for my body type.
