I recently had the opportunity to try Grapefruit Essential Oil from Scential Health, and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the essential oil.
The oil comes in an amber, glass, 15 mL bottle. Like all of Scential Health's Essential Oils, the label is very simple, yet attractive—in my opinion, indicative of the simplicity of essential oils, while still representing their incredible health benefits.

Speaking of its aroma, the grapefruit essential oil smells incredible! It is very citrus-y, sweet, and tangy—it reminds me of a beautiful summer day. After smelling the oil, I immediately added a few drops to my reed diffuser and it provided a pleasant aroma throughout my home.

Up until the 1800s, grapefruit was often called "shaddock," in reference to Captain Shaddock who first bred the fruit in Jamaica. It was later referred to as grapefruit, as it resembles grapes on a tree in the way that it grows.
How is Grapefruit Oil extracted?
Like all citrus fruits, grapefruit oil is extracted using the expression method, also known as "cold pressing." The oil comes from the pressing of the rind of the fruit.
Grapefruit and Spiritual Healing
For those interested in spirituality, I have a few tidbits of information. It is said that grapefruit is capable of cleansing the mental body and the auras, which in turn, leads to an uplifted mood.
You know how when you're stressed out, your mind just won't stop running? You need to finish your work so you can head home, and then when you get home, you have to clean and cook. Don't forget about picking up milk from the grocery store. Oh, and don't forget to call Wanda. Those voices can lead to stress and a depressed mood. Grapefruit has the potential to reduce mental chatter and reduce stress.
To use grapefruit oil for spiritual purposes, dilute the oil 1:1 with a carrier oil such as fractionated coconut oil. Apply several drops on your chakras and massage.
My Overall Opinion of Scential Health Grapefruit Oil
I am very satisfied with Scential Health Grapefruit Oil. The price is incredible for the quality that you receive. I can now say that grapefruit essential oil is truly one of my favorite oils, in terms of aroma. I love that it lifts my mood and makes me feel less stressed out. This is an incredible oil for aromatherapy, and it's safe to say that I'll be using it in the days—and years—to come.
