Looking for ways to eat healthier? Then you've probably heard of the Paleo Diet. Developed by Loren Cordain, PhD, the Paleo Diet is considered to be "the way humans were genetically designed to eat." Characterized by it's selections of lean meats like lean beef and chicken, seafood like crab meat and salmon, fruit, non-starchy vegetables, nuts like walnuts and almonds (no peanuts), seeds, eggs, and plant based oils, the Paleo Diet is high in protein and low in carbs.
However, because the Paleo Diet is fairly restrictive in terms of what you can and cannot eat, it's important that people have several quick, easy Paleo recipes or ideas on hand. Below are 6 Paleo Meal ideas that you can cook and eat on the spot, or freeze for the week.
These are not full recipes, but each suggestion will give you an idea of the types of meals you can eat on the Paleo Diet.
Enjoy!
Paleo Beef Stew Atop a Bed of Fresh, Leafy Greens
Beef stew is an all-time favorite comfort food of mine. If I have extra steak on hand, I'll throw a few strip steaks in the crock pot with beef broth, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, and carrots and let it cook. If the stew is too thin, a little Tapioca starch or lots of reducing should help thicken it up a bit. Once the stew is ready, serve it atop a batch of cooked spinach. It's filling, delicious, and it's a family-friendly Paleo meal.

Paleo-Approved Breaded Pork Chops, Served with Mashed Cauliflower Potatoes, Fruit, and Berries
If breaded pork chops are your thing, but your Paleo Diet prevents you from using your favorite breading, try this version instead! Create a Paleo-approved breading with almond flour and arrowhead starch. There are lots of recipes online for grain-free, Paleo-approved breading mixes.
Serve baked pork chops with a side salad, cauliflower "mashed potatoes," and some fruits and berries, if you'd like. Baked pork chops also pair very well with baked apples sprinkled with cinnamon.

It can be used as a delicious appetizer or as a light lunch.Once you've gotten the hang of a Paleo Diet, you'll constantly amaze yourself with the new recipes that you come up with and the new takes on old, tried-and-true recipes.
