Is there someone you love who loves to write? As a writer myself, I'm going to try to help you come up with some gifts that writers will love. This guide can serve as a brainstorming tool, but also as a shopping guide. It contains direct links to the products to make shopping quick and easy.

Are journals overrated? I've seen several posts this year that suggest getting a writer a journal is useless because everyone will buy them a journal. Are journals really that boring? I feel like you can never have too many journals. As a writer myself, I have several journals that I haven't even had the chance to write in yet, but I adore them all—it's a prized collection. Well, either way, if you think journals are boring, then consider getting your writer friend a different kind of journal. Maybe like this Succulent Lasercut Wood Journal for only $29.
With today's technology literally at our fingertips—smartphones, tablets, and computers—who needs a typewriter? Well, no one, actually; but that's what's so cool about them! These things are becoming so rare that they're a true gem to own. There's nothing like typing up a letter or manuscript on an old-fashioned typewriter. Your writer friend will probably get lost in the click-click-click of the typewriter on a dark and stormy night. This Brother Printer Electronic Typewriter with Dictionary is only $106 with free two-day shipping with Amazon Prime. Don't have Prime but still want this deal? Try Amazon Prime 30-Day Free Trial

Know a writer like me that likes to work with the windows open (weather-permitting)? Well, then paperweights come in handy. Trust me. I didn't realize the importance of paper weights until I had my entire blog binder pages scattered on my desk and opened the window on a windy day in 2008. Big mistake. I spent about an hour putting everything back in order. So yeah, paperweights. Here's a cool-looking Dome Paperweight that also acts as a 1x Magnifier for $15 bucks.
Is there a such thing as a writer who doesn't like to read? I've never met one. I'm sure they exist but they seem to be few and far between. Anyway, there are so many books out there to choose from. I'd suggest picking one based on what your writer friend enjoys the most. But if you're unsure, you can never go wrong with a writer's self-help book. The Writer's Market 2016: The Most Trusted Guide to Getting Published is a good one, and only $17.
