We want our homes to be comfortable, relaxing,
and an enjoyable space away from the mania of the outside world, but they
should also be fun. There’s no reason to settle for a space that’s uninspiring
and bland, especially when there are so many tried and tested ways to make ahome sparkle. When it comes to your
property, a little bit of color can go a long way, so why not look at
incorporating some into yours? Below, we take a look at five tried and tested
ways. Make the changes today!
Splashes of Paint
People normally get a little bit nervous when
paint is mentioned. They think they’re going to be pushed towards making a
dramatic change, like painting their interior walls, or the exterior color of
their house. While those things would, of course, add some colour, it’s a bit
of an effort, and it’s not really necessary, either. Instead, you can add color
to your property by making some subtle paint changes. For example, changing the
color of your front door, or simply painting the handles of your wardrobes and
the like. The smaller jobs take all of ten minutes, yet can make a room pop.
On the Wall
Not enough people make the most of having
something artistic on the wall. It doesn’t matter what it is: it could be a
vintage poster, or a work of art, or a high-quality photograph. Whatever you
put up, it’s going to brighten the room. While it’s less important if you’re
hanging a piece in your bedroom, there are some rules you’ll want to follow if
it’s for a more “public” room, especially when it comes to art. It should be
high-quality, unique, and professionally framed by a company like Artware. If you get it right, it’ll provide plenty of color, and also be
the focal point for the room.
Adding Greenery
Like artwork, it also seems that people don’t
make the most of indoor plants. They’re awesome! What else is there that you
could add to your home that would add color, improve the air quality, and boost
your mood, too? There’s little harm in getting one, to see if you like it. In
all likelihood, you’ll want to add a handful more to your property soon after.

Bright Appliances
There are certain things you’ll want to have in
your home. A kettle, for example, and a fridge. Though you wouldn’t know it by
looking around people’s kitchen, there’s no law that says these have to be a
boring silver color. If you need to have them, why not make them interesting?
You can buy bright colored appliances, which will most definitely give your
home a touch of color (and a retro feeling, too).
Finally, make sure you’re letting as much light
as possible into your home, if for no other reason than to illuminate all your
new colors!
