When you’re a freelancer, it’s easy for you to get set in your ways. Because when you first get started, you’ll find a rhythm with the kind of work you do. From your niche and the clients you work with, to the kinds of work you do and how much you charge – when something works for you, you tend to stick to it. After all, if it’s not broke, don’t fix it! However, before long, you may feel as if you’re stagnating a little. And it’s at this point, that you’ll want to think about doing things differently. And you’ll be glad to know that there are other ways for you to make money. Let’s take a look at exactly how you can make more money in life.

Create A Product

The first thing that you might want to do here is consider making a product. Because when you’re writing and you have to physically write something to get paid, it limits you. But when you create a product that can be downloaded when you’re working on other things or just sleeping, you’ll be able to make more. You won’t even have to be in the office to make the sale, because your customers can pay and download it right pay. Examples here include an ebook or course.

Launch A New Service

As a step on from that, you might then also want to think about different services that you can offer. Can you maybe add another string of writing to your bow? Or even offer different levels of freelance packages?

Teach

Another thing that you can do here, is teach! If you’ve been writing for years, why not teach a writing course? You could even become a writing coach to people so that you’re able to earn a little more from your skills, just from a different angle.

Invest

The next thing that you might actually do is invest your money – and you can do this in a range of ways. Because you can reinvest in your freelance work in order to be able to grow, but you can also invest to diversify your income too. Maybe you want to invest in stocks or real estate with an agent like Sotheby's Realty, to get a monthly dividend? Remember, you can do more than just earn money from your writing work – as long as you’re earning more in general.

Create A New Line

Finally, you may then also want to kind of move out of what you’re already doing right now, and into a new sort of area. Because you may find that you’re great at what you do, but that there’s a new product or service or idea that you can sell alongside it? And when that’s the case, moving into a new market could be perfect for you. Maybe your customers have asked if you do this before? And so really, you’re just giving them what they want or need!
