Happiness? I Don't Remember What It Means

Day after day, it’s the same routine. You get up, you go to work, and then you come back. And as every day turns in the same thing, you begin to lose yourself in the mindlessness of the routine. And suddenly, it hits you as you glimpse at your reflection in the mirror. There’s no excitement in your eyes. There’s no smile on your lips. Overall, you look tired and detached. This is not the life you were hoping for as a child. Not that you wanted something out of the ordinary. But you wanted to be happy. And happiness, right now, is precisely what is missing from your life. What has gone wrong? More often than not, happiness doesn’t disappear abruptly. It’s a long-term process that you accidentally slip into. But if you are to reverse it, you need to understand why you feel this way in the first place.

You’re too tired to feel happy

You’ve lost all interest in seeking pleasure, whether sexually, emotionally, or even professionally. Happiness, somehow, feels like an exhausting chore you can’t be bothered to invest time and effort to perform. A decrease in libido or the overall research of joy in life is often the result of hormonal imbalance. Indeed, your body hormones control many of your bodily functions, including mood and libido. When they are out of balance, they can have a dramatic impact on your emotions – weight gain, hot flushes, and trouble sleeping can be further physical manifestations. Typically, BHRT hormone replacement therapy using bioidentical hormone can help you to regain control of your emotions — and other related issues. However, you’ll need to work closely with your doctor to identify the cause of your imbalance.

You don’t take care of the things that bother you

When you never take the time to fix the little things you worry about, you are not giving yourself the chance to feel comfortable in your body. We all have physical issues that stop us from feeling 100% beautiful, whether it’s a crooked tooth or thin hair. Ultimately, seeking help to eliminate the problem can give you the boost you need.

You don’t fuel your body properly

Of course, you care about your diet, but it’s not one little soda that will make a difference. The truth is that you’re wrong. That one little sugar-free coca can not only increase your risks of developing cancer, but it also makes you more vulnerable to the unpleasant soda belly. Your morning bagel, on the other hand, might be yummy, but its carbs content will create rapid mood swings with no nutritional value. The question you want to ask is: are you eating yourself unhappy?

You’re too passive

I’ll do something about it later. Right now, I’m watching TV. TVmight be the perfect way of chilling down after a long day, but it also encourages passivity. When you become passive, you are less likely to actively change your life and follow the best direction. When you’re inactive, life happens to you, and you have no other alternative but to complain. In short, turn that TV off and go live your life the way you’ve always wanted it to be.

Don't stay idle while life happens.

Happiness is a healthy, active, and cared-for body. It doesn’t happen by chance; you have to go and get it. Unfortunately, being happy in your skin is a work of every day, from managing your hormones to understanding what you eat. But isn’t a positive lifestyle worth a little effort?
