Online Data Entry Work From Home Job:The Smart Crowd - Lionbridge

Online data entry job are relatively easy to complete and are one of my favorite legitimate online money making opportunities. Lionbridge is a platform that allows qualified users to complete different tasks, including data entry, for money—all from the comfort of their own home.
Lionbridge is one of the world's largest providers of online jobs and one of the top language service providers.

I started doing data entry jobs on this platform back in 2011. Then, the website was known as Key For Cash. By 2016, Lionbridge had acquired the website. The data entry platform is nearly identical to the original, although the interface is far easier to navigate.

Doing online data entry work with Lionbridge is pretty simple. You sign up, take a data entry evaluation, and once accepted, read through the guidelines. You can only work on jobs for which you are qualified. Right now, I have the Audio Transcription skill and I am also allowed to work on data entry tasks. Later, I intend to take some of their reading comprehension evaluations.

Lionbridge Data Entry Payment

I earn $0.35 per 1,000 characters. This is very low pay.

I'm a fast typist with a keen eye for detail. I've been doing data entry tasks for awhile, so I'm fairly good at it. Just for estimation purposes, let's say that it takes me one second to enter one character. This would give me 60 characters per minute, which is 3600 characters per hour. That means I'd be earning less than $1.50 an hour.

Ouch!

Of course, I'd never recommend this kind of data entry as a full time position. This is honestly something I do when I have nothing better to do or feel like numbing my mind—because it really is quite mind numbing work.

Lionbridge's payment method depends on where you live. You don't get to choose your payment method. Your IP address determines your location. If you're in the US, you must complete a W9 tax form and payments will be issued via Dwolla.

If you're outside of the US, your payment method will be PayPal.

Payments are sent out twice a month—on the first and the fifteenth—and can take ten days to process. You must have a minimum balance of $30 or more to receive your funds. Those working outside of the US must have a $10 balance before cashing out. If you don't meet your minimum threshold for payment, the money will roll over to the next period.

As mentioned earlier, I am only allowed to do data entry right now. While I am qualified in transcription, there is hardly ever any work available. Once I take the reading comprehension evaluations, I'll update here to let you know whether or not the earning potential is better for other tasks.

  1. Hello this is kinda of off topic but I was wanting to know if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or
if you have to manually code with HTML. I'm starting a blog soon but have no coding know-how so
I wanted to get advice from someone with experience. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
