Pearl Paradise: Tahitian Keshi Pearl Stretch Bracelet Review + Giveaway

When you think of pearls, chances are you imagine a strand of perfectly round, "white," shiny stones. Contrary to popular belief however, pearls come in all different shapes, sizes, and colors. Formed by mollusks, these organic gems vary widely in appearance.

Recently, I received my very first piece of pearl jewelry, the Tahitian Keshi Pearl Stretch Bracelet. I have absolutely fallen in love with this piece.

Tahitian Pearls are commonly referred to as "black pearls." Despite this, Tahitian pearls can include stunning overtones and undertones, which can be any color on the spectrum.

According to the Pearl Paradise website:

Tahitian pearls are among the most exotic, sought-after pearls on the market today. While very often described as black, their colors cover the full spectrum from dark-black to silver-white, and nearly every color in between, including the most popular green and peacock. The colors of these exotic pearls are completely natural and guaranteed to be untreated in any way.

Before familiarizing myself with the different types of pearls, I never thought myself to be a fan of them. Like most people, I assumed pearls to be the standard, white, round gems that you see in the movies. When I saw the Tahitian Keshi Pearl Stretch Bracelet, I was impressed. Not only was it not white, but it featured plenty of different hues, all of which added up to a beautifully unique piece. Not to mention, this bracelet consists of large drop and baroque pearls, both of which are irregularly shaped and are made up of more diverse color combinations than round pearls.

My particular bracelet featured plenty of yellows, silvers, and even some dark green tones. I feel that the Tahitian Keshi Pearl Bracelet is timeless, feminine, and romantic. It is full of luster, and each pearl has it's own individual shape and color.

The length of the strand is 7.5 inches, and the stretchy material allows it to slide over my wrist with ease. The sizes of the pearls range from 5 to 8.5 millimeters, which are the perfect size for a bracelet, as they're not too chunky, yet not too small, and can be worn for almost any occasion.

The bracelet was packaged nicely in a black box, which placed neatly inside of a white box. The bracelet sat upon a soft velvet-like material, as to prevent damage to the pearls. As you may already know, it's very important to care for your pearls.

The Tahitian Keshi Pearl Stretch Bracelet was inspired by Keely Smith-Brosnan. If the last name sounds familiar, it's because she is none other than Pierce Brosnan's wife. Keely wears baroque pearls. She loves the way they slide on with ease and can be worn for almost any occasion.

I share Keely's love for the baroque pearls. The irregular shape draws me to them, as it adds originality to this particular piece of gorgeous wrist wear.

While Keshi pearls are small and irregularly shaped, I was surprised to learn that there is a new type of pearl on the horizon, referred to as provoked baroques, which look like extra large Keshi pearls, although darker, and with a more intense luster. Sounds like something right up my alley.
