Relax, Rest, & Unwind: Lavender Eye Pillow Review

I've always taken a deep interest in meditation. For awhile, I took a hiatus, due to the stresses of life (which is actually quite ironic). More recently, however, I've managed to find ways to take time out to enjoy the benefits that meditation brings.

Because it's been awhile since I meditated, I felt that a little help would be justified. When I came across the Lavender Eye Pillow, I knew that it had the potential to give me a boost in relaxation. I was incredibly excited when I was given the opportunity to try the pillow for review.

The Lavender Eye pillow is designed to help induce relaxation in numerous ways, including blocking out light so that you have a better night's sleep, relieving pain from migraines, reducing stress, and also helping you slip into a state of relaxation.

The pillow is made from natural fibers (and when it's available, also feature the product in 100% organic cotton). It is filled with organic flax seed, which makes it safe to place in the refrigerator or freezer to cool down a bit, and also allows it to conform to the curves of your face as you're lying down.

I particularly love that you can place it in the freezer. Whenever I have a migraine headache, the only thing that provides relief is cold. Being able to place the Lavender Eye Pillow in the freezer and then onto my forehead or eyes really reduces the pressure in my head.

The satin fabric is silky smooth and soft. I love the way it feels against my skin. I'm really big on texture, so when I'm getting ready to enter a meditative state, I like everything that's touching my body to be comfortable.

Now the reason they call this pillow the "lavender" eye pillow is because it is infused with natural lavender scents.

The Lavender Eye Pillow actually smells like real lavender—and not the commercial lavender scent that you find in candles and lotions. It smells like true, essential lavender oil—which is actually more of a pine-like scent as opposed to the sweet floral scent you find elsewhere.

Lavender has a history of being used for medicinal purposes hundreds of years ago. It's been said to relieve insomnia, anxiety, stress, and even depression.

Even if you do not suffer from any of the above ailments, the benefits of this particular pillow can go beyond just insomnia. It can be used to reduce puffy eyes, or to simply help you relax after a long day at work.

I feel that it should be noted that the Lavender Eye Pillow is made in the United States of America and the company stands behind their product. They offer a 100% money-back guarantee, as well as a lifetime warranty.

My overall experience with the Lavender Eye Pillow was incredibly pleasant. The soft, satin material was smooth to the touch. It felt very nice and relieving to place it onto my eyes while I prepared for meditation. I find both the scent and the sensation of the fabric to be incredibly relaxing and not too overpowering.

I highly recommend this pillow, although I'm not sure I'd recommend it if you intend to keep it on all night while you sleep. Because the pillow does not have a strap, the chances of it staying on are slim, especially if you toss and turn a lot in your sleep. However, if you're using it simply to fall asleep, then you need this. While it won't stay on all night, it will be there long enough to get you snoozing.
