The individuals are earning money on these bracelets to help make a life for their families. That, to me, makes these pieces extremely significant.

What's interesting about this beautiful set of earrings—besides the traditional African design—is that they were created using old aluminum pans from cars. The aluminum is blackened and designs are etched onto them, revealing the beautiful silver aluminum underneath.

Perhaps my absolute favorite piece from Green N Brown so far is this Deep Sea Shell and Stone Cuff. This cuff is created by South African artisans. It features hematite, paua shell, and turquoise in polished brass. Instead of using dyes and paints, the colors and designs are created by using extreme heat.
