Convenient Raw-Feeding Options: Stewart® Freeze Dried Liver Treats for Dogs

Do you remember back in February when I reviewed Stewart Raw Naturals Pure Freeze Dried Dog Food? My dog Buddha really loved the freeze dried patties, which is one of many reasons why I am excited to introduce yet another Stewart pet food product.

* Product and/or service provided for review without cost. As always, all opinions are my own.

Buddha is a huge fan of Stewart products, so I was excited to let him try the Pro-Treat Freeze Dried Liver Treats. These treats have a number of benefits, for both you and your beloved furry friend.

First and foremost, Stewart Pro-Treat Freeze Dried Liver Treats are made right here in the good ol' United States of America. If you like supporting the American economy and American jobs, then this is something that you'll appreciate.

Secondly, the product contains absolutely no additives or preservatives. For those of you worried about the chemical-laden products on store shelves, Stewart Pro-Treat Freeze Dried Liver Treats can put your mind at ease.

As if that weren't enough to make you fall in love with Stewart pet products, the product contains only one ingredient—100% Pure Freeze Dried Lamb Liver.

For those of you who have dogs with allergies or dogs on a limited diet, these dog treats are perfect for your loyal companion. They are convenient and may be fed directly from the tub as a supplement to your pet's regular diet, or as a reward for training.

Despite being freeze-dried, the Stewart Pro-Treat Freeze Dried Liver Treats maintain the same hearty aroma, flavor, and nutritional value of raw lamb liver—something that your dog is guaranteed to appreciate.

To guarantee freshness, the lid is sealed. To access the delicious pet treats inside, just break the tabs on each side of the lid and pop it off.

Inside are quite a few bite-size lamb liver treats.

The aroma was quite strong and within seconds of opening the tub, Buddha came running into the kitchen to see what smelled so delicious.

Being the intelligent dog that he is, he decided to lie down in hopes that I would give the "good boy" a lamb liver treat!

And Buddha was right. He gobbled them down so quickly that I didn't even have time to get a picture! Needless to say, he loves them.

Based on the serving size, I gave Buddha four treats after having him perform several of his favorite tricks—and he was very happy about the reward. Honestly, I don't think I've ever seen him so happy about a treat before. These are certainly a new favorite!

Treat serving size is decided by weight.

10-30 lb dog = 1-2 treats
30-60 lb dog = 2-4 treats
60+ lb dog = 4-6 treats

Like the last Stewart Freeze-Dried product that I reviewed, I highly recommend the Pro-Treat Freeze Dried Lamb Liver Treats. They are available in seven different varieties, including beef liver, pork liver, chicken liver, lamb liver, duck liver, bison liver, and turkey liver.

The only issue that I have with the treats is the size of the tub. Because Buddha is a big boy, the 3 ounce tub wouldn't last very long with the suggested serving size. As a result, the price of the product is a bit steep. With that said, however, feeding raw in general isn't necessarily cheap. It's up to you to decide whether you would like to feed your dog completely raw or to have the more convenient option of freeze-dried raw treats.

Head on over to Stewart Pet to purchase your freeze-dried raw dog treats!
