As I've mentioned in previous posts, when it comes to skincare, I haven't always given my skin the treatment it deserves. Over the past few years, however, I've been taking better care of my skin and more recently, I've started implementing Lexli Skincare products into my routine. If you missed it, I did a write-up on The Dos and Don'ts of Taking Care of Your Skin and shortly thereafter, I shared with you my skincare routine. In it, I detailed some of the products I've been using from Lexli Skincare.
More recently, I did a super simple write up about facial washing. It's literally one of the most basic skincare routines, is easy to maintain, and will do wonderful things for your skin — so if you're thinking about starting a skincare routine, start there.

I noticed a vast improvement in redness after only three days of using Lexli products and an overall improvement in pore size, skin suppleness, and my dry patches are less noticeable (and no longer feel like sandpaper). Go ahead and check out the posts to see my before and after skincare pictures.
Because I had such great results with the other Lexli products, I started using the Lexli Cleansing Lotion in my routine as well. I have been using this in place of my standard face wash (which was a generic drug store brand, in case you're wondering).
Now, I'm a girl who loves to experiment with makeup, as you can tell from past posts on my Instagram page. However, I'm the first to admit that I don't always choose gentle cleansers for my skin. With the amount of makeup that I typically put on (when I do wear makeup), it's important that a cleanser is strong enough to remove the makeup but gentle enough to keep my skin free of damage.
It removes makeup quite flawlessly. It's actually pretty cool to watch the makeup kind of "swirl" on your face before it magically rinses away.
I'm impressed with Lexli Cleansing Lotion's ability to remove all the dirt, grime, makeup, and oils from my skin without leaving it looking red or irritated. Here is a picture I took after washing my face:

No major redness? No signs of dryness? I'll take it! Not to mention, it smells fresh and clean — very similar to the Night Moisturizer. It glides on smoothly and easily and doesn't leave your face feeling tacky or tight.
Even though my face wasn't noticeably dry, I still used the Night Moisturizer afterward (always moisturize after washing your face). I wanted to prevent my skin from drying out and restore any moisture that was lost after washing.
Lexli Cleansing Lotion emulsifies dirt, makeup, excess oils, and other debris. Once you've lathered it up, you simply rinse all the icky stuff away. It contains aloe vera (like all of Lexli's products) and includes moisturizing ingredients to prevent your skin from getting dried out. It's also pH balanced, so your skin won't be in a wacky state after using it.
It's super easy to use, as I've outlined in a previous post. Wet the face, massage into your skin, rinse completely, and then pat dry. You can follow with a toner, such as Tone & Balance, or just regular witch hazel (which is what I currently use). Next, apply a moisturizer (you can also do apply eye creams, boosters, and so on — my "facial washing 101" post covers the typical method).
I feel so much more confident in the look and feel of my skin since I started using Lexli Skincare products. I've been going out more without makeup (not that I wore it a lot beforehand, but even still, my skin looks so much better) and I haven't felt weird about it.
But you know, one of the absolute coolest things about this Cleansing Lotion is that it's not just for the face. It's literally a face and body wash. That's right. You can use it as a body cleaner. I love that! It smells fresh and clean too, so I see why people pick up that 16 ounce bottle to keep in their shower.

As mentioned above, I have been using four of their products for well over two weeks now and I'm highly impressed with the way it works for my skin — which can be pretty sensitive.
